Junior PHP Web Developer
Task Finishers is looking for a Junior PHP Web Developer to assist with one or more of the following CMS, Frameworks, or Languages listed below:
- WordPress/WooCommerce
- Joomla!
- Symfony
- PHP/MySQL, using PDO
Task Finishers is a white-labeled, Web Development Agency and as such you will be expected to sign a non-solicitation, and in some cases an industry specific website non-compete (automotive). We are open to part-time or flex time due to the variety of expertise with the above named systems.
Responsibilities
With this position, you are expected to know or complete at least three or more of the following:
- Write custom WordPress plugins, to add custom shortcodes
- Modify WordPress themes to override the search page
- General site updates, i.e. adding pages to a site
- Software updates for both Joomla! and WordPress
- Upgrade or Migrate major versions of a framework, such as Symfony 4 to 5 and testing such changes
- How to Create a MVC for Symfony to add a new feature
- Write or modify a PHP script
- Planning a potential new project
- Update PHP versions and fix any compatibility issues until it works
- Backup or restore a site
- Use Git
Task Finishers is registered in Indiana, Kentucky, & Tennessee; applicants must live in one of the three states.
Skills you will need here
- High School Diploma/GED with some college; bachelor’s degree highly desired
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize time and work efficiently
Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, region, and experience.
$24.00 – $44.00 USD per hour
We also offer a 3% retirement match.
